Popular Scottish singer Isla Grant, is returning to Australia in March/April 2011. Isla’s warm personality strikes a chord with audiences on both sides of the Irish Sea and through-out all parts of Australia.
Singing songs from hit platinum albums that have made her a huge star in Scotland and Ireland, Isla’s tour kicks off in Queensland, travels down the east coast and will conclude in Perth.
Isla’s songs combine the purity and warmth of folk and country music with beautiful lyrics that capture a moment. Her albums ‘Only Yesterday’, ‘Mother’, ‘A Dream Come True’ and ‘Childhood Memory’ are massive sellers and her album of duets features the singer's work with such acts as Daniel O'Donnell, Foster & Allen and George Hamilton IV.
After overcoming the experience of a horrific car accident and slowly regaining her confidence to perform again, her music conveys emotions that her fans can relate to. She says ‘After the accident, when I started writing again, I took it much more seriously than I had previously. The songs were also far more sincere because they were bred out of genuine emotions and feelings.’
Isla Grant is a survivor and her songs provide inspiration and enjoyment to an ever-increasing audience. Isla promises an evening of entertainment that will last well after the last song has been sung.
